So maybe it's because I'm from the Northern Midwest but to me a hoodie is a sweatshirt with a hood. This is more of a stretchy, soft, and t-shirt thin material. There's reinforcement on the sleeves where the thumb loop is but other than that, the whole thing is more of a long-sleeved shirt that has a relatively useless hood.
If you're hunting early season and want something with sleeves but not an actual jacket, this is perfect. Its good protection from bugs and sun. But calling it a hoodie just seems like an incorrect description.
As for fit, my only complaint is that I have a long torso and it sits at my hips when I stand normally but pulls up to my navel if I try to lift my arms above my head. So a bit on the short side. I'm 5'6" for reference and got a size Medium so it wouldn't be baggy.
