    100th duck camp item

Added another piece to my duck camp collection. Everything I’ve got so far is 10/10 and this continues that trend

    Great Jacket!

Nice medium weight - good for layering.

Not dry but a great early real season jacket

Wore the jacket on two hunts the 2nd time get hit with rain not as dry as I thought it would keep me. It’s decently warm but could be better. I really like the jacket just wish it kept me dry and a little warmer.

    Great Hunting Outer Layer

The first hog hunt out after buying this, I got dumped on by unseasonable rain. The soft-shell held up amazingly. It’s thin enough to use as an external layer over a hoodie but warm enough to use by itself over a tee shirt when the day warms up.

The best praise for this: My buddy overnighted one for himself the evening he saw mine.

    Great quality materials, bad fit

Absolutely love the look and feel of this jacket, until I put it on. The body fits normal and then it gets tight in the shoulders and sleeves. The sleeves are very skinny making it hard to layer anything underneath it also making it look weird and were slightly to short for me. Other than the sleeve issues the jacket has very nice features and is damn near perfect. Big fan of this company, just not this jacket.

    Hey Nicholas,

Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review, we appreciate the feedback. I'm sorry to hear the Contact Jacket was not the right fit for you. We never want to leave you with gear you can't utilize, so I want to let you know we offer free returns and exchanges at I would suggest sizing up and grabbing one of our new Contact Hoodies. Sizing up will make layering more comfortable and our Contact Hoodie offers a bit more length in the sleeves. I hope this helps, please feel free shoot us an email at if there is anything else our team can assist with.

    Contact soft shell gear

This stuff is awesome. Way more camouflaged than I thought. Sat for a few hours in the snow and it held up. Weather walking through some thick brush or getting into windy snowy conditions, they’re awesome! Plus you can’t beat that price !

    Amazing jacket!

I love the fit, feel, quietness, color and durable feel. Haven’t tested it in the field but I know it will perform like all my other duck camp gear which is absolutely amazing! Only thing I’d like to see if taped seams for improved waterproofing. We will see how it holds up to moisture. I’m 6’1 200 lbs and like the XL for layering underneath.

    Not Waterproof

I asked customer support for the best waterfowl jacket to accompany my new waders, and they recommended this jacket. It's a great jacked, but it is not waterproof.

    Great first impression

Haven’t tested this yet because it’s still too hot here in VA. Like everything about the coat so far. Quick exchange for a different size and quick shipping. Only issue is that is doesn’t come in a tall size. I’m usually a medium tall. Large coats are usually too baggy and medium sleeves are too short. Only a handful of companies offer the an option for this. And Duck Camp has a tall pant. Hopefully they make a tall coat in the future. This large is not overly baggy. But the sleeves are barely long enough. Especially in a “shooting position” (arms up). Other than that jacket is perfect.
