Lightweight Bamboo Hoodie
Super soft hoodie.
Lightweight and perfect for hot days. I am 5”11 165 lbs and I ordered a medium and it fits perfect.
I’ll start this off by saying I’m overall stoked to have a Duck Camp bamboo hoodie. I spent an 8 hour day guiding in the heat this past weekend with this product. Here are the pros: The fit is form fitting but not overly tight in feel or look. The material is ultra light and very comfortable to the touch. The cuffs fit well and they don’t slide while making double haul casts all day! Which is a huge plus when fishing for stripers from a boat. I found myself using the chest zipper pocket more than expected and I wasn’t bothered by the zipper at all.
The cons in my opinion are the following: the hood is a smaller than I like on a sun-hoodie, the material shows sweat lines, and in comparison to other technical sun gear I’ve used this one didn’t feel quite as cool. The temperature issue is a common theme I find with bamboo products in really hot weather but personally I think the benefits of bamboo out way some of the discomforts / loss of form fit that comes with traditional synthetic hoodies.
With that being said, I’ll continue to rock this hoodie on the water and I am big fan of Duck Camp. This is an awesome product,
We do gardening and one of our guys wasn’t used to wearing long sleeve shirts, but when he got these ones, he loved them. I love seeing him working more comfortably.
It seems that lightweight bamboo shirts are very popular now. I know why..they are very comfortable and look good. I have purchased them from a few different companies. The quality, look and feel from the ones I purchased from Duck Camp are by far the best.
While I'm not a Longhorn fan, I do love the color of this light weight hoodie. I would say this to the product design team: Make it a little roomier. I feel closed in and want to feel less restricted. And a zipper down the middle and by all means, add pockets.
Looks great. Feels very comfortable. I have a cheap nylon hoodie. This one is so much nicer. Feels great and very light wearing. Front pocket is super convenient. I got a slightly larger size as I like the way it drapes and allows some airflow while still covering my skin. The strings on the hood are sort convenient to cinch the hood. I'm very happy with this purchase. Great product.
