Raised in North Florida and based in the Florida Keys for nearly a decade, Jillian Tisdale has built her life around the water. She runs Seven Mile Fly Shop in Marathon, specializing in saltwater fly fishing tackle and technical rigging, and serves as the Florida Keys Outreach & Engagement Coordinator for Captains For Clean Water.
Whether she's advocating for healthy fisheries, helping anglers prepare for their next trip, or chasing tarpon on the fly, Jillian is passionate about protecting the waters and traditions that make the Keys special.

What’s your favorite species to hunt and fish for?
Tarpon on fly - what else is there? I’m not nearly as particular when it comes to hunting. I love killin’ turkeys but I’ll hunt for just about anything I can eat… legally.
What’s your bucket list destination to hunt and fish?
Giant tarpon off the coast of Gabon, Africa. Otherwise I’m quite content in my own backyard in the Florida Keys.
