Owen Gayler is a cowboy turned saltwater fly fishing guide in Port O’Connor, TX. He grew up in Nacogdoches, TX and started his professional life as a Cowboy.
He moved to the Texas Coast after a downturn in the market and slowly worked his way into guiding, earning the respect of the guides and fishing community that came before him.

What’s your favorite species to hunt and fish for?
Redfish are my primary target when guiding and tarpon are hard to beat when I’m fishing.
What’s your bucket list destination to hunt and fish?
The Seychelles!

I have to go redfish. Keep it close to home.

I love the drifter shorts and Deck bibs. The drifter shorts have all the right pockets, belt loops and fabrics for a perfect fishing short.
The Deck Bibs have kept me dry season after season. I think I’ve worn those more than anyone on the planet.
