Job Responsibilities:

  • Source, negotiate, execute and follow up on sponsored events and industry trade shows 
  • Identify grassroots marketing opportunities in top markets 
  • Route a tour and determine best locations for pop-up shops with Duck Camp tiny house 
  • Assist with digital marketing efforts in organic social media channels 
  • Actively gather internal and external research to propose solutions and implement new strategies 
  • Articulate vision and value to Digital Marketing, Product and Customer Service teams 
  • Work closely with Marketing to measure effectiveness of Social Media & Digital Marketing strategies 
  • Develop strategies to closely align with partner brands and other strategic partners 
  • Own the Ambassador and Influencer marketing programs 
  • Create a plan and vision for affiliate marketing and referral marketing, and articulate how it fits in with the Influencer and Ambassador programs 
  • Connect with professional guides and other influential people in the Outdoor industry 
  • Help manage and oversee the Duck Camp shop in downtown Austin, including some Saturdays
  • Support Wholesale Manager by establishing relationships with key retailers and activating in-store events
  • Work cross functionally with Marketing and Finance to provide understanding for true field marketing costs and return on investment 

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in field marketing, sponsored events, brand marketing and activations
  • Possess a solid understanding of the Outdoor industry and tactics
  • Ability to accomplish timely delivery of projects in a fast paced, tight deadline environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to excel in a collaborative team environment
  • Is a very driven, curious and creative individual
  • Ability to be a thought leader and a face of the Duck Camp brand
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of Social Media for brands – not an understanding from personal social media accounts
  • Ability to lift 100+ lbs. and safely operate large equipment and trailers
  • Experience working with Outdoor lifestyle brands is a plus
